Nicole Scherzinger, who recently finished her role as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard on the West End stage, took some time to reflect on her experience with the Pussycat Dolls. She expressed that the group’s reunion in 2019 was a significant highlight for her and elaborated on the personal growth and mutual support among the former bandmates.
Looking Back on the Band
According to Scherzinger, the Pussycat Dolls reunion from 2019 was her proudest moment. Before they got back together to perform their song “React,” they hadn’t seen each other for 10 years.
The singer was thrilled to see how her bandmates had changed since the band’s first split in 2010. What made Nicole Scherzinger most proud was to see how the band members had evolved. The girls grew into women, some of whom have children, and all of whom became supportive of each other.
Nicole Scherzinger Reflects on Growth
Scherzinger also reflected on her earlier days with the girl group Eden’s Crush, emphasizing how it served as a valuable learning experience that prepared her for her role in the Pussycat Dolls. She mentioned that as a young woman, she thought she knew it all although in reality, she didn’t. From today’s perspective, Nicole Scherzinger realizes she was still growing and learning back then, trying to understand herself as a person, woman, musician, and artist.
Nicole Scherzinger is really grateful to be at a point in her life where she’s brave enough to write her preferred type of music and work on her own terms. She’s enthusiastic about her upcoming Broadway debut this fall. Additionally, Scherzinger recently headlined a special Wimbledon concert in New York City and shared her excitement about returning to the US after spending a significant amount of time in England while performing in London’s West End.
